NHR Dual-Path Alert Reporting Strengthens Perimeter Protection at a High-Security Site in Taiwan

NHR is sharing a perimeter security application in Taiwan, where a high-security site added reporting redundancy to its existing electric fence system so that alarms keep reaching people even when one path fails.

The hidden risk of a single reporting path

An electric fence raises an alarm when someone climbs, cuts, or tampers with it — but raising an alarm and getting that alarm to a person are two different things. Most existing systems rely on a single reporting line: if it ages and fails, is accidentally cut during construction work, or is deliberately sabotaged, a perimeter event can vanish without a trace, and the path's own health could only be confirmed through periodic manual tests.

The NHR solution interfaces the S10 with the fence controller's alarm output, keeping the original detection logic, zone layout, and field equipment untouched. The existing wired path continues as before, while the S10 establishes an additional wireless path carrying events to the platform over cellular communication — the two paths backing each other up.

A perimeter that stays visible in the worst case

The platform presents fence events by zone alongside the reporting status of both paths, pushing notifications on triggers and surfacing path trouble early for repair. Awareness of fence events tightened to minute-level alerts, reporting lost its single point of failure as the wireless path takes over when the line misbehaves, and the fence system's operating state gained a continuous record for the first time — with triggers, drops, and recoveries fully traceable for security audits.
