Closing the overnight monitoring gap
Claims about how much buffering a greenhouse provides during frost nights and heat spikes used to rest on verbal assurance. The highest-risk frosts arrive in the early morning when nobody is on site, and scattered manual readings left the entire night unmonitored.
The NHR solution deploys S09 smart wireless transmitters with ambient temperature probes inside the greenhouses and at nearby outdoor reference points, measuring around the clock, with a G09 industrial LoRaWAN gateway collecting the readings and backhauling them to the cloud — no signal cabling across the growing area. Sampling indoors and outdoors in parallel leaves an inside-versus-outside comparison curve for every frost and heat event.
Turning protection claims into measured evidence
After deployment, the overnight monitoring gap dropped to zero. Frost events are no longer reconstructed from plant damage the next day: alerts fire as temperatures approach the warning threshold, letting staff activate protective measures before harm occurs and keeping growing conditions stable through extreme weather.
For the builder, the bigger value lies in validation. The comparison curves from each event have become the most direct evidence of crop-protection performance, and with environmental records automated, the time spent assembling validation reports fell by about half — demonstrating performance to customers now means laying out the data.
